Email Primer?

We all know how important proper emailing is. Is there a decent primer out there? (did a quick search, could not find).

There is so much that goes into an email. For example,

-Address (Mr. / Ms. vs first name, Dear vs Hi)
-Greeting (I hope you are doing well).
-Intro (By way of introduction... Thanks xx [bcc'ed])
-Body (How long, etc?)
-"Goodbye" (Look forward to hearing back at your connivence)
-Signature (Sincerely / Regards, etc)

Would be super useful to have a quick guide, and possible templates. Thanks!

Mr Monkey, (greeting)

Sweet thread. I am a fellow WSO user responding to your cry for help. (preface)

Be polite. If you care this much about the format of your email you're likely not in a good position to be a dick. Keep it short and sweet. Your audience's time is valuable, keep your message succinct. Your message is more likely to be read if its 75 words as opposed to 250. (this concludes the body)

Pick whatever closing sounds best in your head, it really doesn't matter. Best,

StJamesPark (closing)

(put your contact info down here if you want to hear back)
