Engineering to Finance Advice
Looking to make the transition from engineering to an IB/PE position after I graduate. Currently going into my last year of undergrad where I will graduate with an engineering degree. If anyone has made this transition post undergrad, I’d love to hear about your story/any advice you have. I understand this is difficult to do.
Why not apply to IB now?
Also, are you at a “target” school? Good GPA? If so, you will have plenty of opportunities to interview at IB places (also HF’s, especially the more quant like places).
Unsure what the question is exactly, going from an engineering career into IB? Applying to IB now? I would try to get straight into IB now.
I got to a non-target school, gpa is about 3.4. I struggled last recruiting round to get interviews for IB so I decided to return to the company I interned at last summer (tech company similar to Apple) due to the lack of offers. I’m looking to break in to IB/PE full time after graduation. In terms of HF, what firms would you recommend looking at?
