Exit Ops. for Valuation and Modeling?

Starting this summer as an analyst at a boutique valuation firm and was wondering what kind of exit ops there are? Seems like the majority of the work will be similar to IB- debt/equity modeling for M&A/RX, financial opinions for m&a, and market/industry research

So many threads on this. The majority of the work is not IB/M&A/RX. You will be modeling DCF's, comps, etc. which is a very small part of a bankers job. It's a good way to get your foot in the door in "finance", but don't want you to be misled by thinking it's front office work. It's mostly for financial reporting / tax purposes so nobody will really be paying attention to your outputs unless they are the auditors.

Your exit opps will be broad, including IB. Don't count on PE - possible, but difficult.
