I wish it was that easy... Unlike some of the young college students, I solely depend on my full time job income. If I had the option to quit and just do an internship close to nothing and not care about what happens after my internship ends because "mommy and daddy" can foot the bill ...I would. Choosing an internship over a full time job is just something I cannot afford to gamble. I'd rather find an entry level full time position that will benefit me by the time I graduate.

So you're saying you need a 40 hour a week (but no more) job that will look good on a banking resume? Tough sell. Given that you can take those 40 hours away from school and still maintain a stellar GPA (this is your primary differentiator) - see if you can find some kind of half-time internship at a boutique bank.

My cum gpa is 3.9 maintaining this while working full time is a challenge but I managed on top of that Im actually graduating early.. If all goes according to plan I successfully get my BS in 2 1/2 yrs. I started the accounting clerk position while in HS.

Jesus Christ, you're going to finish a BS in Finance at Northwestern with a 3.9 GPA in 2.5 years while also working 40 hours a week? Put aside the fact that that sounds literally impossible, If that's actually true, you'll be FINE.

CapK I agree with you... I worked my way through school and can say that it was a huge differentiator, however the OP should still consider doing an internship in banking because I guarantee he makes more in 12 weeks of a SA than he does working 6 months at his job... beyond that you'll be fine... and if you're worried about it try to do some part time gig at a private wealth firm or do some interesting research. All these are merely suggestions though because your GPA and work through school should alleviate any doubt to interviewers that you have the drive to succeed in banking...

Ok, so now he'll ask what can he do to help him get an analyst position.
