Hey guys, just want to clarify this confusion I've had for so long. So I'm an international student on F-1 visa, and most banks states that they "do not sponsor work authorization for this position" (internship). The point is that while I'm on CPT, there's no need for sponsorship (until I finish undergrad) — do I automatically get dinged just because I'm an international student?

Yeah - even though you don’t need sponsorship for CPT you still get dinged because banks hire interns with intention to bring them on as FT analysts which is when they would need to sponsor you.
