Facial hair during recruiting?
I’m recruiting for ‘27 Summer Analyst roles from an East Coast target. Indian male. I currently have a beard and mustache that have good coverage and are well-trimmed. Almost everyone tells me I look a bit better with the beard, but I also look fine without it.
Have heard a bit online about how Wall Street culture dictates that juniors stay clean shaven. Is that true, and is it a strategic move to shave, or would it help me stand out to keep facial hair?
Obviously I know that this won’t play a huge part into any offer decision, but I just want to iron out the details.
don't sacrifice who you are, if having a beard would be a dealbreaker for giving you an offer, you wouldn't want to work there anyways
Keep it short, clean and trimmed and it’s totally fine.
Lot of MDs rock beards too these days.
how tf is "East Coast target" relevant in this
