Failed a Course

Currently recruiting for SA 2022 and this is my second semester sophomore year and failed a class this semester which will bring my GPA from a 3.9 to a 3.5. Long story about the class which I won't get into but just curious what my options are here for recruiting and if I'm fucked solely due to this one class.

you're not fucked. You have a 3.5 GPA which is fine. If it was a class outside your major, start reporting your major GPA. If it was in your major, go ahead and skip reporting the major GPA. Come up with a story about why you failed that class in case someone figures it out and asks. It is highly unlikely a banker will actually see your entire transcript - some banks don't even ask for it.

Make sure to keep your GPA above 3.5 and have a good explanation in case anyone asks. Things will work out. Shit happens...

Even if I do, won't it show up when I apply to banks in a couple months? I've applied everywhere I possibly can as of now but there are a few particular apps (4 banks) that will see my second sem GPA. Everywhere else I should be fine right?
