Failed first round , now what

Deleted

Cold email a boutique bank and got put into interviewing process. 3 rounds of behavioral interviews and passed. Have hope, make sure you want to do IB and actually show it to your interviewers. Have a nice talk with them and be chill. Don’t stress too much and just trust the process.

What if you have nowhere to move on to lol that was like the only IB boutique in my area. Seems like the senior person liked me enough to forward my resume but analyst was having a bad day.

Well there are many banks in nyc. Would need more information on the situation - like are you being held in captivity in Oklahoma and there's one investment bank there.  Networking etc, but my thought is if you got one from a resume drop you can get another. Just hope for a person in an interview who can see whatever you have done one understands what you are talking about and two will help xyz ways in the long-term. Through whatever you are selling them on

No don’t sweat this one. Move on to the next place. These internships are a numbers game. I know a group of guys who hit up almost every boutique to find a remote IB gig for sophomore year. Don’t stop until you find something. If you got one interview, you can get another. Keep pounding the pavement and pursuing leads to banks. And don’t limit yourself to your small radius. Plenty of opportunities but next time you get a first round make sure you crush it. Don’t leave anything on the table. You got it man
