Failed Goldman Background Check.
Just out of curiosity, would anyone care to share if they failed a background check from Goldman and what the circumstances were? I am just a paranoid person who has signed a contract for the IBD and awaiting my background check decision. Thanks in advance.
Were you ever convicted of a felony? No? Okay. Were you ever arrested and failed to get it expunged? No? Okay. Did you lie about your grades? No? Okay. Did you lie about your work experience? No? okay....

Well I was arrested 7 years ago for a DUI in FL and its one of the few states you cannot get it expunged. So it is a concern.

I took a dump in the sky lobby bathrooms (didn't flush but reported it), didn't pay for the coffe there either (told them i would pay them back and never did) and ... dig this brought a screwdriver and switched the elevator floor numbering that shows which elevators to use so people didn't realize my shenanigans untill they were in the elevator (security and I are tight). And still got the job.
Do you have a misdemeanor ? If not then you probably passed.
Yes, I do have a misdemeanor. A DUI from 7 years back. Clean driving record since.
Did you disclose that to GS prior to the background check ??

They're not going to contact you and say "Hi, congratulations, you've passed your background check!" If something is off, they have to rescind your offer as fast as possible. Every passing day just increases the credibility of your potential civil suit.
So what you're saying is that as time goes by, as long as they don't contact you up rescind the offer, I should worry?

I never drink and drive. I just know people with DUI's who have passed background checks. Keep making assumptions. You'd think people on here would be smarter.
