Feeling Depressed -- nothing this summer

Sophomore at a target with a 3.7 GPA. Not a lot of prior financial experience but decent campus involvement in a couple of clubs. I'm looking to go into ER or AM; however, I wanna find something this summer. I had some interviews for a couple of AM firms but got cut.
I have nothing lined up this summer and I'm extremely worried and depressed tbh. Is it too late for me to find something this summer or am I just fucked.,..

Bruh start emailing a bunch of boutique shops that will offer u an unpaid internship. It’s only March so many firms haven’t done recruiting yet (small ones) and many don’t have a application process. Better get to the emails.

Sophomore summer isn't very important. You don't need to intern at GS as a sophomore to land something for your junior year when it actually matters. I remember there being barely any IB sophomore programs to apply for, so I imagine there's even fewer ER / AM opportunities. Try finding legitimately anything finance related to demonstrate you have interest in the broad field. Reach out to any friends who parents maybe run a small business that is broadly in finance (accounting, financial advisor, etc.). Spending your summer as an intern at a local accounting firm might be boring as hell, but you'd be able to speak to how it fits your path well.
