Feeling insecure about my age

Hi everyone. I recently started an OC in ER in London at arguably the best BB covering TMT, which was my dream team. I feel really insecure about me being 24 and just finished my master's, while interns and analysts are ranging between 21-23 mostly. I have lots of anxiety stemming from my social impediments already. It feels alienating to be old.

I'm 24 next September. Is this normal? How to shrug off these insecurities?

1. It would be insane for someone to care at that age about someone being a year older — College creates a medley of kids that took a gap year, graduated early etc. to where the distinction gets seriously blurred. All my friends that are “my age” are really ±1-2 years.

2. Why are you stressing about something you can’t control? I know people that are 5’7 and bitch all day that they can’t pull women because of it, and I have friends who are 5’7 and lower who are ridiculously confident and pull more than almost anyone I know. Point being, do you want to mentally torture yourself for no reason or do you want to be the dude balling out?

Summer Intern in London at 28.  Nobody cares about you least of all your age. Be proud of what you had to go through to get to where you are.

Hey bro, Incoming SA next summer…I’ll 3 years older than most of my intern class as I took 2 years in between graduating HS and starting university. And then didn’t even know what IB was until the end of my sophomore year, so extended graduation a year to place in IB.

I don’t anyone will give a damn about you being older, I’ll be in the same position as well. If they do care, they can piss off.

Lol if you get the job, you'll see people coming in as associates who are 35. You're being so cute. You'll see summer associates who are parents.

Enjoy life.

You said you’re bothered about being a 24 year old intern, but you’re turning 24 next September?
