Few questions about summer internships (first-year, ibanking)

The way I see it, banks are flooded with requests for summer internships. Would it be wiser to wait until the fall and take courses during the summer instead? Also, could you comment on deadlines for applying for the summer (in case I still want to)? I'm hoping I can wait until the end of the month.

And how many banks/positions should you reasonably apply to?

Thanks

Apply now, fall internships is an option but summer internships are much better for resume. You should apply to as many places you can until you get an offer...you can never apply to too many banks. My best advice to you however, is Network, Network, Network
