Any update or additional advice? Just happened to me today, they straight up asked if I was interviewing then said our paths have come to our natural end.

I am in a first round interview, how do you answer questions like what are you currently doing in your role when you just got let ago the week before. Am I really expected to explain in present tense like I didn’t just get let go?

Did you answer yes? If so, let this be a case study for future working professionals.

And to answer your question, as worthless as an An1’s answer may be, I’d tell the truth. Tell them that your employer asked if you were interviewing, say that you value honesty and trusted your employer, and that you were subsequently stabbed in the back. I’d vouch for u heavy if I heard that explanation.
