Following up on Networking Emails

Hello fellow monkeys,

Rising sophomore at a non-target here. Everyone on in this forum mentions how important it is to follow up on a networking email 2-3 weeks later if they don't reply. Could someone elaborate on what I should include in that email? Should I send a separate new email that re-states what I had said on my first email or should I reply to the conversation (my initial email). If the latter, what would you write on that reply? Thank you very much in advance for anyone willing to give a hand!

Reply to initial email. Say you just wanted to follow up. Reiterate interest in their firm and say you'd appreciate any time they may have.
