FP&A in Summer 2023 to FT IB 2024
Hi guys - I failed to make it to IB SA 2023 and I will be interning as a FB&A intern this summer. I am still very interested in IB and want to apply for FT 2024. I wonder if there are any specific timeline/any open application now for IB FT 2024. Also, if you all could give me any advice during this meantime, that would be great! Thank you so much!
The majority of applications should start opening toward the middle of summer and early fall. Suggest you make sure your technicals are proper and you have a good story rehearsed to tell when the time comes for interviews.

What you should expect is a brutal FT recruiting market. In a good year it is possible to go from FP&A to IBFT (only MMs), but I expect FT hiring to be almost exclusively for IBSA this upcoming cycle.

Disagree, if you're doing FP&A-type work for a firm/company that is well-known for those programs you can definitely place higher.
Have never seen someone making that transition. You have higher chance coming from Audit summer imo
