Freshman at Ivy Target — Rejected from All Finance Clubs. Advice?
I’m currently a freshman at an Ivy target interested in pursuing investment banking. Unfortunately, I was rejected from all the competitive finance clubs I applied to, despite making it through multiple interview rounds.
How important are finance clubs for recruiting at target schools? Has anyone successfully broken into IB without being involved in these organizations? What should I focus on during freshman year to stay competitive? Is it worth it to reapply sophomore year and if so, any tips?
Would really appreciate any advice or personal experiences.
