Freshman at low semi-target, what internships to apply for?
I am a freshman at UIUC, and I am looking to break into IB. It is also worth noting I am considering a transfer to UVA since it is in state for me.
I will most likely have a 4.0 coming out of this year and have been accepted to a relatively competitive club that is a feeder to Illinois investment banking academy. I do not want to stay in Illinois over the summer, so I have largely kept my search of internships to the Washington D.C. area. Do you have any tips on finding companies that would be willing to take a freshman intern. Preferably companies that have some relation to the work done in IB.
