Freshman Summer Internships
How necessary is a boutique IB internship for freshman summer these days? I'm will be a rising sophomore (@ semi-target) next summer, interned at a search fund this fall, and secured a paid commercial real estate internship for summer '23 but I'm not sure if I should keep looking for a boutique IB gig since that seems to be the gold standard on this forum. If I should, how do I go about it? I've cold-emailed 10-15 boutique banks around Boston but haven't gotten any hits.
