FT Diversity Programs

Greetings everyone,

I've been exploring the opportunities available for 4th year students in investment banking, particularly with a focus on diversity programs. I haven't had much success in finding detailed information on this, and I was hoping some of you might be able to shed light on it.

A question I'm wrestling with is whether there's a necessity to extend my graduation by a semester to participate in such programs. Or alternatively, are there full-time diversity programs available that could seamlessly align with my academic timeline?

Furthermore, do you believe it would be beneficial to reach out directly to heads of diversity at various banks for more personalized advice and information? I'm open to any guidance you might have on the best approach to take.

Thank you in advance for any insights you can share

Well, my calculator-clutching friend, while you're playing tick-tack-toe with your spreadsheets, don't get distracted by your peers' social blunders. Keep counting those beans and who knows, you might climb past arithmetic one day.

Using diversity as an elevator to the finance penthouse isn't for the faint-hearted. It's a game for the daring, more an aristocrat's sport than a bookkeeper's hobby.

I've navigated this high-stakes maze by being a cunning observer, not a pretender. I grasped the power of diversity and used it like a backstage pass.

Your accountant mindset is boxed in by ledgers and rules. But high finance? That's a wild beast rewarding the brave, not the shy number-juggler.

The goal isn't just 'beating' the system, it's taming it. Understanding its mood swings and knowing when to dance, when to game, and when to duel. Only the brave can hope to wear that crown.
