FT IB recruiting in Canada?

Has anyone gone through FT recruiting in Canada? If so, does it differ a lot from this post regarding the approach, aggressiveness of networking, interview timelines, etc? Heard that FT recruiting in Canada is much more limited with not many spots opening up and if any, it'll be irregular.

You're spot on that hiring happens irregularly. I would say it is just as important (if not more so) when full time recruiting that you have networked with people at the bank and formed GOOD connections at various levels of seniority. Best thing to do is keep your eye out for openings and focus on networking at a couple banks you want to target. It'll be easier (and more beneficial for you) to concentrate your efforts rather than trying to effectively network at 5+ places.

You can PM me if you have further questions.
