FT Recruiting with no return offer - Applying for other roles?

Hello,

I'm an IB SA at a top bank who is likely to not receive an FT return offer.

If I apply for FT recruiting at other banks, would my chance of getting in be higher if I applied for a different position besides IB (Other FO roles, MO roles, etc)? I'm asking this because I know that not getting an IB return offer is pretty damaging for FT IB recruiting. By applying to different roles, I would assume that the no IB return offer element would be weighed less since skillsets for IB and other roles would be slightly different.

What are your guys thoughts on this? Thanks.
