Full time recruiting 2022

I know it’s really early so don’t roast me, but I wanted to inquire about IBD full time recruiting. Current junior and was able to secure an internship in a finance leadership development program (FLDP) at a fortune 100 firm for next summer, but im not too excited about it and really want to switch into investment banking full time. Anyone have any insight into what full time recruiting will look like next year?

I know for 2021 it’s really tough because a lot of firms gave out auto-offers to SAs and generally it seems like firms are moving away from full time recruiting and trying to fill all full time positions with the previous year SAs. But does anyone know what might happen for 2022, as I will want to look into other full time opportunities if IBD full time is looking to be extremely difficult/very few spots available.

Yea I was thinking the same thing but we will have to wait and see. Deal flow across the industry seems to be in a good spot so perhaps we will have a good year for FT. Not getting my hopes up though lol
