German Econ student, want to get to Miami/Florida, how?

Hi guys,
I'm 22y old, just finished my bachelors in economics from a German-top5 university with good grades. I am now deciding between masters programs: economics or financial mathematics. All from respected German universities, programs are taugth fully in english. In Germany its normal to do a masters as a follow-up, otherwise people don't recognize you as fully educated.

My resume in short:
- native in German, Russian, fluent in English
- managed university's biggest finance association for 1y as chairman, team of 8, 500+ members (organized workshops/lectures with Goldman, Deutsche, Citi, McK, BCG, ...)
- study abroad for 1 semester at Moscow State University, econ & finance program (best in Russia)
- a pack of interesting extracurriculars (ran marathons, volunteered at London & Sochi Olympics)
- 4 months intern at one of Moscow's largest banks in Quant. Risk Management
- 6 months intern at a top-1 IB in London in Derivatives Sales & Trading

The masters program will give me another 2years to study and work on my resume and:
- plan to complete the full CFA level 1-3 during that time, taking L1 this december
- planning to do more internships (primarily in the US / Miami / FL)

Many of the people I know or worked with want to get into sales or trading in London/NYC. I want to go to Miami/Florida. I know this sounds cheesy but it's a done decision and has to do with future plans of me and my girlfriend (a US-citizen).

Now.. is it even possible for me to get a job in Miami or Tampa or anywhere decent in Florida? Bad thing is that I don't have good spanish skills (just basics from school). What else can I work on to get in there? Of course, I am planning to get an internship and work from there, but what internships are good for getting into FL?. From my time at the IB I know that they have a Miami-based office, but they work more on private wealth management. I don't have specific experience in that region. I am more of an options/shares/bonds/swaps freak with trading experience. But also good management skills and can work well with clients (words from the IB final review).

Can you guys help me with any sort of guidance as I don't know anything about breaking into the US job markets.
Any help is very appreciated!

There are many Mid-size/small firms concentrated in Florida, your best bets in trading are Miami,Tampa, and Jacksonville. Deutsche Bank is located in Jacksonville and has many analysts positions year-round, you may have a good shot there. Hyde Park Capital and Franklin Templeton in Tampa tend to offer internships all year.

BTW: Don't worry about the Spanish, I don't speak it and work in Florida. I think the real challenge is to find a firm willing to sponsor you with a work Visa since you aren't married to your girlfriend yet.
