Getting an Internship First Year at Western?

I'm starting University of Western Ontario in a few days, and plan on having a finance related internship for the summer.

The problem is that I have AEO to Ivey, but that starts in 2 years, in the first two years I'm doing Political Science - International Relations. How would I fare out getting an internship in the summer compared to people at say BMOS (business undergrad for two years)?

I have been doing financial modeling and such in Excel, as well as other miscellaneous business methods like SWOT.

I also will be completed macro and microeconomics and intro to business by summer of 2014.

So assuming I do good in International Relations and get good marks in the business courses I'm taking, would I get a finance internship?

Also, is there places I can apply to? like a public list of places that allow for 1st year undergrads to apply?

Thanks for the assistance!
