Depends on the bank and size. For some it could be they just don't like you. For others you may really have todo something...
A weak analyst will be given bottom bucket bonus.
A struggling analyst will be given very small bonus (5k for instance) as a soft nudge to resign/change job.
A rogue analyst will be kicked out immediately.
EDIT: Reasons may vary, in my experience I have only witnessed intern being kicked out for gross lack of professional conduct. (eg. logging out at 6PM and completely MIA on weekends on multiple occasions, delivering obviously half-assed work, you get it).
This has been the case from my experience.
