Getting into Broker Trainee Program
I am a recent graduate (non-target school) with little experience looking to get into a broker trainee program. I was wondering if you guys have any ideas on where I should start to look for these positions (companies, search terms, etc.). I know my lack of experience may be a barrier, so apart from looking into broker trainee programs are there any other, more entry-level positions (like cold-calling, or assistant) I should be looking into?
where are you from? it does not make sense to apply to Scottrade if you live in the UK. They dont have offices there.
Try to research in google the brokers list around your location. After try and search something like "Broker X internships careers". You will find many opportunities.
I also like LinkedIn jobs. You are able to directly contact the recruiter who posted the job.
I have applied to ICAP for an internship program last summer. I was not successful, but you might try. Good luck with the application process.
