Give up Real Estate Analyst role for Business Analyst role?

Hey guys, long time reader but first time poster. Really in need of advice so hope some of you will be generous enough to share your wisdom.

I've been a Housing Analyst for past 2 years at a bankrupt financial firm. No future here. I've been presented with an opportunity at a large Japanese investment bank, a Business Analyst role. There is a significant pay increase (at least a 40% bump in salary).

As always, there's conflicting advice. Some people say to go for the money, others say its more important to focus on staying on your career path. I would really love to hear what you all have to say. What would you do?

Quick Bio:

BBA in Finance, low GPA
Continuing Education - 2 certificates from NYU, Real Estate Finance and Credit Analysis
Prior to Housing Analyst role, was Business Analyst in same bankrupt firm for about a year. Excelled in my role.
