Goldman Sachs Considered for Different Division
I had a superday for Goldman Sachs IBD a little less than a week ago. Right after the Superday, I was told by HR that I was put on hold and they'd tell me my status 1-2 days later. I spoke with a friend right afterwards. Apparently, my interviews went great, but they thought I was more fit for equities than IBD. They notified HR and sent my resume to a few equities desks. Anyone know anything about this process? How likely am I to get an internship in equities? How long is the wait/hold time? Any information would be very helpful.
A friend of mine was moved to a different group after he interviewed with IMD.
He received a phone call a day or so after the interview notifying him of the offer for the other group. He didn't have to even interview specifically for it.
My bet would be that the wait time will be dependent on the group. Maybe give them a couple business days then touch base with HR again.
While gs is a good name be wary of hr/ staffing decisions reorganizing the career path you had sought out for yourself
Unfortunately recruiting isn't going too well for me at other banks, so I pretty much have to take what I get.
same thing happened to me... I interviewed for the general internship and when they asked me for my preference, I indicated my interests in Securities but they put me in asset management. I am trying to get an interview with securities... got my fingers crossed
Do they still have securities Superdays or are they done with interviewing and just waiting on people to accept/decline?
