Government Analyst to financial analyst?

I have been working with the Florida Department of Children and Families as a budget analyst for the past year. This is my first job out of college. In addition I completed my undergrad at FSU with a 3.45 GPA in finance.

I took this job out of the blue when my uncle (Who also works in state gov) stretched his neck to get me in. I never once thought post graduation I'd end up working for the government.

Anyways I've been here for almost a year and just got promoted to an audit accounting position. In the past as a budget analyst I would create and analyze excel spreadsheets for the departments $2B budget.

My problem is that I hate the area I'm in (tallahassee fl) and I want to move somewhere closer to my friends and family(Florida eastern coast jax, Orlando, ftl, Miami).

My question is with my 2 years experience (one as budget analyst and one as audit accountant) will I be able to land a job in corporate finance in Florida?

Any input is highly appreciated

I should also add that with state employment I'm eligible for a state employee tuition wavier. In this case I'm eligible to take part time classes at FSU to earn my MBA for free. This seems like a great opportunity, but I don't know if I can stand living here for another 3 years. In addition the word the word prestigious and FSU do not correlate. I believe a few years down the road I'd be able to get into a more academically prestigious university.
