With such competition for the few SA spots available, what did you expect going into a top firm? I assume you have more interviews to come, and just take this as a learning opportunity to get better for the next firm. Make sure that you wrote down all the questions you didn't know, so that you know them for next time. You cannot give firms any reasons not to hire you now, as they already have enough reasons.

I actually only got 1 inteview, which was with them, but I currently have a solid internship right now although its in a different industry, so im not worried. Maybe with some luck, I make it to the 2nd round. Chanky, what office are you interviewing for? My advice to you is that make sure you can back ANYTHING you say, esp technical stuff......

I wouldnt necessarily say it was hell because of the level of difficulty, it was just unexpected in the 1st round. All the analysts I spoke to at the bank said their 1st round was pure fit, so I prepared as such. It was like consulting type finance cases, but also difficult follow up questions here and there. I think the interviewer was just having a bad day, BTW. the person who interviewed me was a VP in the IBD, which I found odd, I thought it was going to be done by HR....oh well!!!cant continue ranting, its done!
