GS HR Question
I've been going through the interview process with GS for an off-cycle position in GSAM for the last month. In typical fashion it started off with an HR screen, a call with a junior guy and a senior guy, and another with a few other folks. I thought all of the phone interviews went well and that I connected with all of my interviewers. A week went by so I emailed GS HR and she responded with something along the lines of "Oh, I am so sorry I haven't contacted you yet, you are still definitely in consideration and I will let you know next steps when we know them!"
I figure that if I was completely out of the running she would have just a) told me or 2) ignored me. Why bs right?
It's been another week of radio silence. I assume that they are trying to round up 5 or 6 people, at least, to conduct a superday for all of us. Thoughts?
if you were out of the running they would have let you know. they aren't going to string you along for no reason just to make you squirm. if you were actually out of the running at that point, they likely would have said something like "sorry, but we won't be moving forward with your candidacy...very competitive process etc etc"
