Some of MS' ops are located in Baltimore, MD. Not sure which ones, I believe at least a part of fixed income-related ops. Hope that helps!
I used to live in Baltimore, MD. I'd take Jersey/NY over there, trust me.
Goldman's ops are all in Jersey City, in Goldman Tower. It's a pretty stupid building, since many of the floors are empty (all the front office guys refused to work there).
The front office guys don't want to work there? thats ludicrous and i highly doubt that.
They didn't want to work there, which is why they are in New York, and not in NJ with the back office staff.
They work there now, some of them at least. I went for a Superday and I saw some, (prob not all). If you do get GS I highly suggest you take it. Banks like UBS are :(
gs ops finance all moved to jersey city except for few tax groups.
take gs ops/finance over any other back office gig at a BB. if you have back office @ de shaw, paulson - take the HF BO route.
