Had a phone interview scheduled...but never received a call

So I had a phone interview scheduled for today with a boutique IB firm with one of the MDs, (I already quadruple-checked the date, time, and number I gave them to call me at), and I just never received a call.

I figure this could be because the MD forgot or was too busy. Should I send an email or something? What should I say?

Happens to everyone. I once had a 45 minute phone interview, because the MD would get interrupted every 2 minutes and chew someone out. He ended up channeling all that anger towards me... needless to say I didn't get the offer.

I would wait a day or two, and just ask if there's a better time for his schedule to talk. Most likely he'll email you tomorrow to apologize though.

I feel like I got dinged cause I left a voicemail and I got a pretty bad accent. Also, on top of my accent, when I speak I tend to pause at random ass places so I sound unintelligent as fckk.

Do you know anybody that got dinged cause hr heard their voice? -_- not funny..

I assume aspringmonkey was just giving you shit for pluralizing Blackstone or for spelling "organised" in British fashion.

In any case, "what you should do" is pretty straightforward here. Follow up with the interviewer (might as well call / email today) and try to reschedule the call. I'm sure the interviewer feels bad about skipping out without providing any head's up, so you shouldn't have a problem getting a new time.
