Having difficulty accessing free credit report - slightly worried

Monkeys,

I'm trying to obtain my yearly free credit report (first time doing so) in order to scope out what my credit history is like ahead of SA background checks. Mainly just to verify that all my ducks are in a row, and that I haven't somehow been the victim of some random identify theft.

However, when I try to obtain my free credit report online, none of three credit agencies can process my request. Most of my friends haven't had any difficulty accessing their free credit report, so it has me a little befuddled.

Some background:
20 years old
University student
Never taken out any loans (that I know of, at any rate)
No credit cards
2 debit cards, 3 bank accounts, nothing funky going on with any of my accounts
Currently am on a two-year apartment lease
Have lived at three different addresses over the past four years; DL has never changed, and reflects the oldest address
US citizen

Does anyone have any knowledge on why I'm unable to obtain my free credit report online, and whether or not I should be concerned?

I know I could mail in a request, but I'm having a really difficult time coming up with the files I need to mail in a credit report request. My current mailing address is different from the address on my license, so I don't have the necessary documents in order to submit a credit report request through mail...

Yes, that's the site that I'm using. It redirects you to the three major credit reporting agencies once you fill in some basic information, and none of them are allowing for me to access my credit report.

You basically have nothing to report. No loans, no credit card, nothing. Most of your friends probably have a credit card or have student loans. If you want to add credit history, get a CC from your bank, something with a low limit that they can approve like $500 and start from there.

Thanks, Teddy. Much appreciated. Again, just wanted to make sure that all my ducks were in a row, and that someone didn't take out a much loan in my name, haha.

ibanker12Don't think u need to be worried.

I was never asked to submit a credit report for a SA position, is this a new requirement?

From what I understand, the banks check your credit history as part of the background check.
