Help- I didn't answer an MD's last email who is recruiting me to work for him
So, I will try to keep this brief here. For context: Entry level analyst role- I recently completed a case study for a bank and they said they'd get back in a couple days with feedback (I've only been talking with the MD not going through traditional hiring process). I followed up bc it had been a week, and he apologized and said he is completely slammed and hoping to get back to me as soon as he can. I never responded to that last email to just say "sounds good. Hope to hear from you soon." or whatever I would have said. I just left it in my inbox and just didnt respond cause I thought it would be redundant. It has now been 5 days since then and I truly believe he is busy, I also crushed the case study and had high level bankers check over my work after submitting. I am wondering if I am f'd because I dindt respond to his last email and if I should respond to just address that I received it and apologize for the late reply. Or just keep waiting to hear back. I got feedback from others that I shouldn't seem desperate but I feel like not responding to his last email was just dumb.
