Help to transition to IB

Hi all,

I am an international student doing a Master's in Finance at a target. I have a three year experience in consulting back home with a lot of experience in modelling and working with teams. Top of the class as MFin and as an undergrad in Economics.

I am in a weird spot because I have consulting experience but no real deal experience nor IB internships. I'm getting screened out for both Internships and Analyst full time roles. I have tried IB BB and MM in the UK (where I can apply for the graduate visa) but no luck. Other alternatives are deal advisory or restructuring role, but also no luck.

Any ideas on why am I getting screnned out? What would you recommend me to do?

Based on the graduate visa comment, I am assuming you are a student in the UK.

ok, so the market is a bit tricky atm. Not many open spots, and a ton of applicants from within the UK and also the EU.

1) when you send off your applications, are these teams which would need additional languages?
2) Based on your consulting experience, I would also apply for those roles? Unless you really don't want to.
