HELP - Ultra non target with ZERO alumni in IB
Hi Monkeys, I need your advice on networking and cold-emailing. I come from an Ultra non-target with zero alumni in IB, so I would like to know what can I do to network with associates and VPs (MDs too?). I was thinking about sending them messages through Linkedin, or sending cold emails, but, since I have nothing "in common" with them, I don't know what to say. What would you do?

There's nothing wrong with networking with random people. Your hit rate will definitely be lower with folks where you don't have a common interest / connection, but your hit rate will be 0% if you don't try.
I'd also encourage you to reach out to folks from other non-targets, since they understand the struggle and will likely be more sympathetic.
