Hiring for Startup

Posting this here because a friend of mine is hiring for an early-stage fintech startup in NYC and I figured there may be some strong people on WSO who would be interested.

The company is rebuilding infrastructure in traditional financial markets, specifically within FX. They’re working on modernizing the FX forward market and replacing parts of the legacy correspondent banking / settlement stack with better technology.

A few details:

* NYC-based
* ~$3.5M seed round raised
* Pilot trades already underway
* Founding team has strong institutional FX + crypto/market infrastructure backgrounds
* Looking for very early employees / founding-team caliber hires

They’re especially interested in people who are extremely AI-native and already use AI agents heavily in their workflow — not just ChatGPT occasionally, but people who think about work in terms of orchestrating multiple agents, automating processes, and shipping significantly faster because of AI.

The personality fit is probably just as important as the resume. They want people who:

* Want to join a startup extremely early
* Have a founder mentality
* Are comfortable working 6+ days/week
* Are obsessed with building and moving quickly
* Believe AI is going to fundamentally change how companies are built
* Want the upside/risk of trying to build a very large company rather than taking the traditional finance path

Could be interesting for people coming from engineering, quant/markets, fintech, trading infrastructure, crypto infrastructure, or finance who are unusually technical / AI-native.

I’m intentionally not posting the company or founder names publicly. If you’re seriously interested, DM me with a quick background and why this sounds interesting. I’ll screen people first and share more information with the relevant candidates.
