Houlihan Lokey Job Status
Randomly browsing the HL job portal after applying to ~6 lateral IB analyst roles there. I realized that some of my application says Status: shortlisted, Sent to LOB for Feedback, Held for future openings and under consideration. Can someone shed some light on what "Sent to LOB for Feedback" or "under consideration" means? Should I reach out to the associate or VPs through linkedin and try to "network"?
Interesting, do you mind walking me through where you see the status update for your applications? When I look at submitted applications through their career portal, the link only takes me to the position description.
Hard to explain, apparently there's two format of the job portal. One allows you to see the status and the other one doesn't. Try applying for a HL job from a third party site, and it take you to the format that allows you to see the job status. I know this sounds crazy, but I can literally provide screenshot of the format that Im seeing.
That was actually really helpful, thank you! Apologies as I don't have much info to return the favor, except that I am 'under consideration' for one position after a 1st round phone interview and 'Rejected after Resume Review' for another. I'd say if you don't have the latter, you're still solid.
I never interview with HL. Not even a call with HR lol. That's why I'm super confused on the job status.
