Hours/wk in an analyst program?
Are ALL analyst programs the 90+ hour a week variety or is that just the IB programs? Is there any way to find out how many hours you'd be working in an analyst program?

I'm assuming you mean full time (FT) at a bulge bracket (BB). No, but you can probably safely assume it is ON AVERAGE 80+. The way I've had it explained to me is that when you're on a live deal you might go a month or two working 100 hours a week and then have it ease off to 60-80 hours a week, then up and down.
At middle market firms you can probably knock 10-20 hours off the average depending on deal flow. At prestigious boutiques like Lazard or Evercore expect to work 100+ on average.
Hours depends on what you're doing. An analyst in operations will work less than an analyst in asset management who will work less than an analyst in ib etc...

Someone posted the answer to this pretty recently. Take a look around the forums and you'll learn quite a bit about finance in general.

I'm about to start in a "Finance Analyst Program" at a BB, i.e. middle office, and I've been told by my group that they usually work about 60 hours per week on average.
