How competitive are the diversity programs at BBs? Can you actually convert into offer?

Went to one diversity program and it seemed crazy selective-- furthermore, wasn't sure how many people actually were able to convert  SA offers from these programs. Does anyone have any insights?

Despite what the weak candidates on WSO who blame diversity recruiting for their lack of offers would tell you, diversity recruiting is pretty selective. Out of all those selected, only a handful of people get offers directly through the program. And to get selected in itself is not the easiest.

Best advice is be a networking beast. Connect with people after the program, and during the program be polished, ask great questions and be a general cool, fun, likeable person. Just doing those will set you apart from 90% of candidates and make you memorable.

I'm in the process of doing a  hirevue rn for a BB. was wondering do you have any advice?

Pretty sure the reason people complain against them is because you can reapply during regular recruiting season and will still get hired on TOP of the allocated spots because you’re diversity.

The extra relationship building / ease of connection to several members at the firm is what is the real value that eventually leads to success in the general recruiting pool even if you didn’t convert for specially allocated spots at the diversity program.
