How do I choose which Bank for someone coming from a non-target?

I came from a country which doesn't have investment banks and I am trying to connect and apply to banks that are outside of my country, possibly United States. How do I choose which banks are likely to somewhat accept individuals from non-target background? I know GS, JPM and probably even Lazard would want people from Target schools.
