How long does it take to get an offer package?
Accepted my offer last Friday over the phone. I gave them my address and was told to be expecting an offer package in the mail. It hasn't shown up yet. Any idea as to how long I should wait before I double-check that they have the correct address? I know, pretty basic question, but I just want to make sure I shouldn't have gotten it yet.
This is for a BB S&T role.
are you kidding? they don't deliver mail on sunday. Wait until Monday at the very least. If they didn't send out until Saturday, then you gotta wait until Monday minimum. Calm the fuck down.
I got a verbal last Wednesday. Told me not to expect the letter/package until Monday or Tuesday. I'd wait until Thursday if I were you.
Mail? Most banks send everything by email. Wait a few more days.

Depends which last Friday we are talking about. op probably meant Friday the18th if they are asking this. Any person smart enough to get an offer in BB S&T should know that it generally takes more than one day for mail to arrive and it isn't delivered on Sunday. I'd say if you don't get something by the Thursday give HR a call so they can mail out the package Friday if they did indeed forget.

i did my summer at a BB firm hee in asia pacific over the past summer... all the interns are now waititng to receive calls from them about whether we are receiving job offers for next year as a graduate...
one thing i noted is that this bank has begin accepting offers online for fresh applicants for their graduate program next year.. and the application periods ends like middle of next month... What i would like to know is whether the bank will get bank to the interns whether we are receiving job offers before the end of the application period so as to enable us to have time to apply for other positions within the bank incase we did not get an offer?
I'm worried because currently we interns are not allowed to apply for other divisions which is different from the one we interned at as it means that if we were supposed to get an offer from the bank it will be withdrawn. We are also not allowed to apply for the div we interned as as if we get the offer we will be auto enrolled in the grad prog while if we do not get an offer they already said they will not consider our application for a full time job for that particular division if we reapply for it.
So the only way is if we get rejected for a full time offer and then only we can apply to other divisions. But we have to know whether we do have a job offer if not its not worth jeopardizing our offer by applying for some other div. But ofcoz this also means that they must get back to us with the offers before the application window closes. The question is will they??

Hi, I had a final round with my top choice yesterday afternoon (MS/GS) and still haven't heard back. Does that mean I'm pretty much dinged? What's the general timeframe- same day, or is there a possibility that they would contact me the next day (i guess i have a few more hours to go before today officially ends)
relax. you dont need to hear back the same day, or the next. a buddy of mine got an offer about a week after the interview; now granted, he might have been the no. 2 guy and the office was waiting for no. 1 to accept/reject, but this does not change the fact that not hearing a day later is not synonymous with being out and done.
If you haven't heard back, means you're still in the game. They take as long as they need to in order to make a fair assessment of your candidacy. Stop counting the minutes before they call you, and continue networking/preparing for other interviews down the line.

Yes, no news means you're still in the game, but to be honest, if you don't hear back by the end of this week, you should mentally move on. Firms have quick turnaround times with people they want. I disagree with Kerchak here. That assessment of your performance or credentials is made by the interviewers that night or the day after at the latest. The only things that can hold the process back are HR being slow to verify you and waiting for someone higher than you on the list to make a decision.
Some banks might take one to two weeks as they are still interviewing for other candidates around.
As mentioned by the ppl above, if you haven't heard anything yet, you are still in. Don't stress too much. Think of the worst but hoping for the best...

Wondering how long the whole process takes for people on average? I.e. how many firms did you interview with before you closed on an acceptable offer? how many weeks/months? Anyone feeling frustrated with the process? Feel like i've gotten to a bunch of late stage or final rounds but no offer yet :/
i'm looking for mm and growth equity positions, but any insight on experiences would be helpful. just want to get a sense of how long it takes to get "primed" for perfecting interviews and getting closer to offer (obviously most candidates are gonna fail a few times before they get better at this process and can seal a deal for offers) .

Personally I'm very frustrated - the smaller/MM ones take longer than ibanking recruiting, which I'm not used to yet (think at least a month and a half).
My advice: get a feel for the all-in comp before going in/early on in the process, will save you lots of time.
I agree with the smaller shops taking more time, I was in the process with my current job for almost 2 months before we closed on an offer. Bigger places seem to take about a month depending on urgency.
