How Many Internships is too many

I am a non-target with a 3.8+ gpa from the midwest who has had previous internship experience with a large late-stage VC firm abroad. I am delaying graduation to pursue internship opportunities for the spring, summer, and fall. I have optained an IB internship with a small boutique in New York, still waiting for summer (I have an offer but wanting a better firm), and a MM IB boutique in Chicago.

How would a recruiter view four internships, with three being investment banking?

Don't crowd your resume, meaning choose the best ones and expand on your role. Make sure you add an extracurricular or two, and an interest section to make you more "human." No-one wants a finance robot. Do as many as you like, just make sure your resume isn't too crowded and avoid too small of a font size

I would say the summer one is the most important, as that is the most common internship people see. I think two is enough for SA recruiting, taking a whole year off from school is a lot. Don't forget to enjoy college you don't get a time like this again

Dude being from a non-target and having ANY IB Internships is a huge deal. Huge success on that bro. Take a look at your classmates.....how many of them have IB Internships? Very few.

Just curious, do you think having 1 vs 2 boutique IB internships helps significantly? Is it better to target more "bigger name" firms instead of going for IB again?
