I am considering throwing my hat in the ring for some corporate strategy roles but am curious how receptive they would be to someone with a finance background. I work in equity research covering a specific sector.
A few questions I have:
1) do consultants know what equity research does? Or will my resume get passed over?
2) how can I position myself as a viable corporate strategy candidate with ER experience?
