How serious is reneging?
Accepted S&T with Top tier bank but got another offer from a top tier bank for their IB division. If I renege, will I be blacklisted?

You should edit this post so we can’t easily track you. If I was at the first bank you mentioned and you reneged, I would be able to find out where you are going and could call the second bank. Puts your seat at second bank at risk. To answer, not a big deal if done correctly. Thank them for the time they put in recruiting and tell them that due to personal reasons you’ve decided the opportunity is no longer a good fit. End with apologies for any inconvenience this creates. Nothing else. Do not respond when they ask where you are going or what personal reasons.
