How should I ask to be considered for FT after getting SA offer?

Hi,

This is a bit of a weird one so would appreciate advice.

I have an offer at a BB in London for SA and this was great as I was going to do a masters. I recently have received a FT offer for a lower tier firm (Jeff/HL) for FT

Do you reckon I could ask the BB I got the SA offer for if I could interview for a FT role or do you think that would not bode well?

I have signed the SA role already but am now feeling reluctant to take the risk on foregoing a FT job for a summer but also would prefer to be at a BB so torn on what to do.

Any insight would be great. Thank you.

P.S the BB has not listed FT roles in IBD yet on website.

Most likely they will say no, your leverage is from a worse firm and it's simply not in their incentive to give you FT offer. Much better for them to trial you out for 10 weeks to see if they like you. Idk you can try but I think it would look kinda weird if I was HR

I don't think it would damage your chances of converting your BB summer later on if they said no (disclosure I summered at an EB so not sure if different) I just think it would look odd
