How to break into a shop that hires exclusively through HR?

As the title suggests. Rising sophomore at a target school. There is a firm that is definitely my no.1 choice for my sophomore summer, but after coffeechatting 6-7 different analysts I realized no one knew a thing about the recruiting process. I spoke to someone else who interned there as a sophomore last summer (they typically hire juniors through OCR), and he said that their recruiting process is handled exclusively by the HR person and analysts/associates have very little say. His circumstances were a little different as to how he was able to meet the HR recruiter, so I can't really do what he did; at the same time I can't really just go through OCR without networking with the HR, as I would get eliminated for sure as the position is specifically for juniors. I am just wondering what your tips would be for me to network with the HR person. Should I just shoot an email/LinkedIn msg to grab a coffee? If we were to meet up for coffee, how should the conversation go? Normally if it's an analyst I could just discuss about the work they do, but if it's an HR person I don't really know what else to say other than "so lol how do you feel about me as a potential candidate."
