How to comprehensively prepare for full-time IB?
I'm joining an EB as a generalist this summer. All my holidays for the next 2 months have been cancelled, so I figure I may as well spend the time trying to make the transition to IB a bit less painful.
I'm well-versed in PPT from my internship (lol), but how else should I prepare for FT? ATM I'm thinking - studying from finance/accounting textbooks, practising with the models on Macabus, etc...
Read as much as possible and try to get faster in excel. You can't replicate on the desk (virtual) experience, but using this time to be more efficient will help you throughout. I also found reading bank specific primers on products / industries helped me during my summer (just ask a second year for this).
