How to deal with micro managing associate?

Top performing senior analyst here. I never been micromanaged to this level before. This associate is not that senior from me but insists everything to go through them. Edits everything. How do you work with someone who has 0 confidence in you? We are talking to the point of typing emails. I am so fed up

malicious compliance is the key here

forward them every email you have

send everything to them for review (every absolutely minor thing , emails, comments turns, small model changes etc). EVERTHING

just absolutely overload this associate with materials, pdfs, ppts, excel docs, emails etc.  hell, start printing all of this out and drop off it off at their desk with a stick note (waiting on your markup before I pass along). im talking PDFs of models, printouts of draft emails etc.

just completely overload them in documents and ensure everything you send, you note "waiting on you"

and respond to the whole team in ccing associate (materials are with Associate who I am waiting for their signoff).

soon, they will feel the time crunch stress and start delegating like a normal human
